Best Out Of Office Replies - Hilarious!!

My friend Donna sent these to me and I thought they were hilarious. My favorites are #5 & #8.

  1. I am currently out of the office at a job interview and will reply to you if I fail to get the position. Please be prepared for my mood.
  2. You are receiving this automatic notification because I am out of the office. If I was in, chances are you wouldn't have received anything at all.
  3. Sorry to have missed you, but I'm at the doctor's having my brain and heart removed so I can be promoted to our management team.
  4. I will be unable to delete all the emails you send me until I return from vacation. Please be patient, and your mail will be deleted in the order it was received.
  5. Thank you for your email. Your credit card has been charged $5.99 for the first 10 words and $1.99 for each additional word in your message.

TV Interview - after thoughts

WHEW - am I sooooo glad that is over. I didn't really think I would get as wound up as I did, but by Monday night I was a nervous wreck! It was a crazy, hectic 2 weeks getting prepared - my Dad and I COMPLETELY revamped my website and I had to put together FOUR coaching segments. Man was I tired. Boy did I wear my Dad out!

I hardly slept at all Monday night. Every time I woke up with a nervous stomach I just prayed and fell back to sleep. When I woke up I was almost as calm as a cucumber - in fact, if you can believe it - I was all ready to go and wasting time before I had to leave in the morning. AND I actually arrived at the studio 15 minutes early! Now anyone that knows me has to know that was God working a miracle! ha ha

I found out about 15 minutes before the show started that my friend Kelly Morgan could not make it to the show that day so Debra would be doing the interviews. That kind of threw me for a loop for a second, but I just relaxed and went with it. It ended up being much different than I had planned, but I learned a beautiful thing - it's much better for me to speak straight from my heart rather than from my memory or my head. Everyone has told me that they couldn't believe how calm I was (I was really peeing my pants on the inside though - jk) - but that's because I got the chance to speak from my heart and what I'm passionate about.

It was an incredible experience and I'm so grateful for the opportunity. THANK YOU to my wonderful and amazing friends and family who supported me through this. I couldn't have done it without knowing you were backing me up!

The 4 segments will be on my website shortly - I'll put a link in when I get them. Rumor has it the 2nd segment might be shown on Monday.

My TV Debut is tomorrow morning!


Tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. I 'll be LIVE on The Harvest Show . I've been invited to do an interview with Kelly Morgan (pictured at right) and to kick off a 4 part Life Coaching series on "The Power of Thought".

The series is based on Phillipians 4:8 - Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think on these things". I'll be presenting 4 different exercises to implement into your every day life to turn your thoughts around and empower your life.

I'm really excited for the opportunity to help people change their thought patterns so that that they can see life in a different way - to live a life of freedom and joy. It's an incredible opportunity and I can't wait to see what comes of it.

Please pray for me, I'm pretty nervous about being on live TV, but I am working on changing my thought pattern about that!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday Dad
I LOVE YOU!!
My Dad is funny, smart, loving, calm, patient, wise, giving, compassionate, young at heart, fun to be around AND a great example of a man who loves God. He is an inspiration to me.
I was almost born on my Dad's birthday (Aug. 12) but I piddled around and took my time, so I missed it by a few minutes! So you see, for anyone who knows me very well, running a few minutes late is just part of who I am :0)

It's amazing what you can see when you stop and really look

We have some property in Granger that we use for camping and dirt biking. It's about 7 acres of woods, surrounded by corn fields and has a small swampy pond on it. I used to go out there often to have my quiet time or do my exercise walk around the track, but I got out of the habit and kind of forgot about it.

Yesterday I had to be out of the house for a couple of hours so I loaded up the dog and some work and headed out to the property. When you first pull in it's nothing fabulous looking, but as I was walking around the track with the dog and just hanging out with God, all of a sudden my eyes were open - I slowed down and started really looking at things that were all around me and it was beautiful! I went and grabbed my camera and started looking and shooting - trying to capture all of the amazing things God was showing me are right under my nose all the time, but I'm so busy rushing around I don't take the time to see them.

He has placed the beauty and magnificence of creation ALL around us. It's His way of telling us that He's there - He sees us - He loves us. Scripture says that Jesus sings over us - for me one of His most beautiful melodies (and the one I'm able to hear the most) is this amazing earth and all of it's creation. What a beautiful song! I pray that I will continue to live with my eyes wide open and see all of the beauty that God has for us every day.

When I became still and just sat on the edge of the pond, the yucky muck pond turned into something fabulous! There were all kinds of wild life having a blast in that pond. I always saw it as a yucky old swamp, but it's so much more.

Here's a little dragon fly on a leaf boat getting a drink of water.

The pond is filled with frogs - I love frogs and always have so I had a great time looking for them. I think they're fascinating!

I had never been in a cornfield before and was amazed at how cool it was.

This is what it looks like inside a cornfield. I thought it was cool how all of the leaves bend and make a tunnel.

Here's another little dragon fly taking a rest on a leaf. This was the first time I've ever seen one without his wings moving - he must have been tired!

I've been doing research on being fully alive, being fully awake, etc. while I've been up here at Silver Lake on a writing retreat. I was excited and surprised when this popped up from Erwin McManus, who I LOVE, LOVE,LOVE the way he thinks. I will be stopping at the bookstore on the way home to pick this book up. Check it out!

The Bridge Needs Your Help and Support

The Bridge - Mishawaka's food pantry and free store got a HUGE shock on Friday when the budget was slashed. My friends Merri and Aaron DeWinter run this amazing organization that helps 2300 people per month - please check out the story and then leave a comment with your support.

I know this is hard for many, many people - but I can't help but think that God has a plan here. There are lots of churches and community services that are on board with The Bridge, so maybe getting it out of the Township hands will be a good thing and it will be able to grow into a bigger and better operation that can help even more people.
