24 hours from now I will be sitting in a chair at Dr. Long's office getting my braces on (to fix a severe crossbite and straighten my teeth). I have very mixed emotions about this. I'm excited to finally have a smile that I'm not ashamed of but I'm also a little embarrassed to wear braces at 42 years old! I'm also a little worried about the pain factor - Cody's mouth was like hamburger when he got his braces on. YIKES!!!

A new Hair-Do and braces? Wow...a brand new woman. What will your hubby do!!?? LOL
You shouldnt be embarrassed about it though...its very common any more. I had them when I was a kid...and it wasnt all that bad.
