Tuesday was the last football game of the season, and it's been a GREAT season. Cody has never played a sport before and this is his first time ever playing football or being on a team. It's been fun watching him transform from a skater punk into a jock who goes out jogging when he's frustrated. By the 2nd game he started playing first string - offensive and defensive tackle - and midway through the season he was playing A team and B team. Now he's talking about playing football at Notre Dame, which is a great dream to have! (We better start saving our money, because he's got the grades to actually do it).
The team had an awesome season - they were undefeated until last week when they lost by only 2 points. This was the playoff for 3rd place and the won 30 - 18!
He did such a great job and Trent and I had such a good time going to all the games - I had a blast being a football Mom and wasn't even scared of him getting hurt! We're so proud of you Cody and can't wait until 8th grade football next year!
